Programme Topic: Positive Disciplining conducted by Psychologist Ms. Upasana Saraf

I liked the entire workshop. It was very informative and interesting – things which I can use in my day to day dealing with the children. Sometimes it gets really very stressful as to how to deal with a particular situation or problem. Sometimes we get anxious and use loud voice and other methods to control the class, but we should stay calm as the child tends to react n the same manner. Another thing I liked a lot was to say sorry if you have been harsh towards a child.

I find that disciplinary method is quite a vast one to handle, but yes, if a teacher herself is focussed as to what is the right way to discipline; it brings about a good change in the students’ behaviour. The video was self-explanatory of the different strategies used to discipline children aged 3 to 5 years.

I found the workshop interesting as well as useful. The feelings of students as well as teachers were taken into consideration in the strategies suggested – it might lead to more self-awareness in teachers. The positive disciplining method is practical and allows teachers to be in control of the situation at all times.

The workshop was extremely useful. Ma’am covered most of the situations we face in class. I am taking the 3 words with me- INTENTION, BELIEF, and TRUST. These words will help me in my interactions with kids and adults.
Thank you for the workshop; I will surely practise what was discussed.

The workshop was extremely interesting and gripping. The discussion has surely thrown light on how to imbibe different yet successful strategies to manage classroom effectively. The videos were informative and provided a lot many tips on how to bring down noise level in the class. Today’s session was interactive and the experiences that were shared will surely help every teachers find effective solutions for their problems that they face in managing a class.

The workshop was very informative. The workshop stated some do’s and don’ts which were really liked by me. The workshop made me understand how to think from a student’s point of view and their psychology.

The workshop has changed my outlook in how to look at the disturbances in my day-to-day teaching-learning process. What I liked about this session is that I need to rethink, analyse, and redo things in a different way which can be fruitful in the teaching-learning process.

I found the workshop very interesting and most useful. I am battling with this issue on a daily basis. What I loved about this workshop is the research that has gone into it, the situations, and the teacher attitudes that were discussed. The easy, comfortable manner of conduction also helped us to receive it well. This has set the tone for my small group meetings.
